About Me

I started reading psychology textbooks when I was 12 years old. These books began a quest for me to better understand the emotional and interpersonal struggles my friends and I were experiencing growing up. As time went on, it became clear that helping others manage the developmental and transitional challenges we all face was my life’s aspiration.

I was educated and trained as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, obtaining my Master’s Degree at Adelphi University. I started my career in 1998 in local community mental health clinics primarily servicing an underprivileged and disadvantaged population.  I went on to develop my first private practice on the East End of Long Island. I am now practicing virtual telehealth and am licensed to practice in: CO, CT, FL, ILL, IN, NJ and NY. I have worked with a wide variety of clientele as well as received advanced training for those with food issues and eating disorders. For the past 10 years, a primary focus has been on working with the struggle of discerning between remaining in or terminating a romantic relationship. Most recently, I have been trained in Partner Betrayal Trauma. I have achieved the APSATS credential of CCPS-C, Certified Clinical Partner Specialist - Candidate. NOW ( Spring ‘24) accepting inquiries for virtual Betrayed Partner support group for those who are ending the ruptured relationship.
